Description
The myths of the Vikings often tell of Freya, the proud goddess of fertility and witchcraft (seithr). This pendant, found in Sweden, seems to show Freya, as this woman is wearing a necklace and Freya was famous for her necklace, the Brisingamen, a symbol of her seductive power. I have smoothed some of the lines of the original, but remained true to the depiction of the hair and clothing and her proud bearing.
