Viking Runic Luck Pendant

You will find many runic luck charms being sold today, but have you ever wondered how authentic they are? When I made my rune pendant I wanted to use an original spell from our ancient past.

Many runic inscriptions survive from former times; some are simply written notes and records, but others are different. The runes were more than just lettering for the Vikings, they also contained magical power. An old norse poem tells how the god Odin hung himself on the World Tree for nine nights as a sacrifice to learn the secrets of the runes.

I have copied my runic luck pendant from an original bracteate from Denmark from the 6^th century. It reads GIBU:AUJA, translating I give good luck.
