Viking Strength Rune Ring

Sterling Silver 925 Ring 

A Viking rune spell for courage 'May you not lack in strength. These are courage runes.'  The voice of an ancient Norse spell-weaver speaks to us from the distant past.  These runes are in old Norse; 'Tharnisk ther eigi urr. Tha mothrunar es'.

I have combined 2 original inscriptions that have survived through the centuries, hidden in the earth, on bronze amulets.  They were found in trading towns, now situated near Novgorod in modern Russia.  Thanks to archaeology, we can now read these magical invocations once again.

The original amulets were worn by 9th Century Viking adventurers on the trade route that led from Scandinavia all the way to Byzantium.  Although the originals were in bronze, runic rings were also know from the Viking Age, so I have carved these original rune spells into a silver Viking ring. 

I have made this ring in three sizes. They are open at the back and are adjustable and you can bend them gently for a perfect fit.

Which size is right for you? As a rough guide: on an average hand, the small ring will fit a female index finger or a male little finger. The large ring will fit an average male index finger.

If you want to be more exact, please measure the circumference of your finger with a strip of paper, and compare your millimeter measurement with this table:

Large ring  - This ring is 10mm wide.
At its widest adjustment, this ring will fit 80mm circumference.

At a regular adjustment, this ring will fit 69mm circumference.

At its smallest adjustment, this ring will fit 62mm circumference.

Medium ring - This ring is 9mm wide.
At its widest adjustment, this ring will fit 76mm circumference.

At a regular adjustment, this ring will fit 62mm circumference.

At its smallest adjustment, this ring will fit 54mm circumference.

Small ring - This ring is 7mm wide.
At its widest adjustment, this ring will fit 60mm circumference.

At a regular adjustment, this ring will fit 52mm circumference.
